I've found this is to be an interesting study of gradients at the moment. I've been tempted to create more complicated vectors but wondered whether the key is keeping it simple. I've decided to post the remainder of the posters as they were completed within quick succession of one another.

I'm currently working on some other little experimental stuff away from this kind of thing but I can definitely say it's been nice simply creating for the sake of being creative!

Unfortunately I have absolutely nothing interesting to say about this particular post except that it was done just for fun! I'm really pushing myself to try new styles and I have never done this kind of thing before. Will try a few more and post another hopefully soon.

New doodle. And general updates!

Well and truly been neglecting my blog! So even if I don't prep my graphics work for it, I will at least be doodling enough to keep posting. Soooo... voilà !

In all fairness this is actually a bit of a cheat because I drew this up in Illustrator and tweaked it (quite a bit) in Photoshop. So it technically isn't a 'doodle' as such but since it's not commercial work then to me it's a doodle!!
It is however an interesting doodle for me as I have never really produced something like this style before. It really started from another doodle of some typography, which I may or may not post on here. Either way, I might do something like this again!

iPhone Wallpaper #1

It's been a while since I've posted anything so here we go! A little illustration drawn up in Illustrator and tweaked slightly in Photoshop. I have a few things in the pipeline but will have to wait for now.

Handy Web Tools!

Since I've been doing a lot of web design recently I've found myself having to test certain features on different browsers. Luckily for me, I'm a Chrome user. And Chrome is pretty much on the ball when it comes to a lot of HTML5 and CSS3 features. But there are some browsers (*cough*Internet Explorer*cough*) that are still lagging behind a little. 

Thankfully this site has made life A LOT easier for me. If you find yourself testing how compatible your code is, then just jump here.

LeadCo - Mini Case Study

 

Unfortunately I never got to see this go in to fruition as it was a project cut short. Hence the incomplete case study. However, it's worth sharing because even though there's no evidence of the logo on a shiny new business card or stuck next to a smiling M.D, it gives a small insight in to the thought process involved.

Doodle #1

I doodle ALOT. If there's a pen within reach, chances are I'll scribble on something. So I think the doodle posts will become a regular thing (even though I'm kicking this off with an old one). This was done with a biro!

And so it begins! (again...)

I've started blogging again! The last one is lost and never to be found again... actually I could've found it but I preferred starting from scratch.

I've got a lot of exciting things in the pipeline and will probably be posting most of it on here, and a lot of probably not-so-exciting things (but equally interesting!).

The first exciting thing, which I am very much looking forward to completing is my personal website. It's long overdue, however, it is still early days so I could possibly go weeks without any news on it.

Expect illustrations, photography, more web design, cinemagraphs, and some general experimental design in the near future. But for now, a small shot of the website in progress... (please excuse the terrible photo quality, I've lent my camera out and only have my iPhone at hand)
